Read all product labels before use. Do not apply if rain is imminent or forecast within 24 hours of application. Be sure to wear eye protection when mixing or applying coating and repair products.

Surface Preparation
Clean Roof Clean Roof Surface
For any roof repair or coating application - Sweep off all dirt, dust, and debris. Remove rust, mildew, oil, grease, or other foreign material on the surface. Allow freshly applied asphalt roofs to cure a minimum of 4 weeks prior to applying this coating. Scrub roof with solution of TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) and water. Remove mold and mildew with bleach solution (1 part chlorine bleach and 3 parts water). Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.

White Elastomeric Roof Repairs
Repairs Roof Repair
With a 4” wide paint brush apply a liberal amount of White Elastomeric Roof Patch. Roll Reinforcing Fabric into wet roof patch. Smooth out fabric with paint brush.

While material is still wet, brush another coat of Roof Patch over the Reinforcing Fabric. Be sure the fabric is completely embedded into Roof Patch material. Allow Roof Patch to dry completely before applying White Elastomeric Roof Coating.

White Elastomeric Roof Coating Application Considerations
Application temperature must be a minimum of 60°F and rising. Do not apply when temperature is expected to drop below 50°F within a 24 hour period. In areas where dew or fog accumulates in the early evening, it is best to coat in the morning. Stop coating by early afternoon (3:00 pm) to prevent wash off, which will occur if dew, fog, or rain arrives before coating dries. Do not apply if rain is imminent or forecast within 24 hours of application.

Applying Roof Coating - Stir pail thoroughly. Do not dilute. For best results apply White Elastomeric Roof Coating with a soft brush, 3/4” nap paint roller, or high pressure sprayer.

For optimum performance and durability, apply a second coat. Wash tools with water before material dries.

Repair Using Asphalt Coated Reinforcing Fabric
Fabric Cracks, Breaks, and Loose Seams- Clean area of loose dirt and debris. If moisture is present, allow area to dry. Apply roof cement to defective area. Extend coating to three inches beyond area to be repaired. Spot stick reinforcing fabric in position over defect. Press info place. Top coat with roofing cement.

Flashings - Spread roof cement into cracks extending 3' to each side of crack. Firmly press reinforcing fabring into coating and top coat with more roof cement.

Gutters - Clean gutter of dirt and rust. Dry area to be patched if wet. Place heavy coating of roof cement over defective area. Firmly press reinforcing fabric into coating and top coat with more roof cement.

Blisters - Leaking blisters should be slit in a criss-cross pattern and folded open. Damaged materials should be removed. Allow area to dry if wet. Apply roof cement to opened area with putty knife or trowel. Replace criss-cross cut material to close opeing. Press into place. Cover area with roof cement. Extend coating to 3" beyond defective area. Firmly press reinforcing fabric into coating and top coat with more roof cement.

Applying Fibered Asphalt Roof Coating
Fibered Application Application Considerations
In areas where dew or fog accumulates in the early evening, it is best to coat in the morning. Stop coating by early afternoon (3:00 pm) to prevent wash off, which will occur if dew, fog, or rain arrive before coating dries. Do not apply if rain is imminent or forecast within 24 hours of application.
Applying Fibered Asphalt Roof Coating
Mix coating thoroughly before and during application. Then coat entire surface area with SealBest Fibered Roof Coating. For best results, apply a uniform coating with roofing brush when surface is dry. One coat provides year round protection.

Applying Fibered Aluminum Roof Coating
Aluminum Roof Application Application Considerations
Application temperature must be a minimum of 50 °F and rising. Do not apply when temperature is expected to drop below 50 °F within a 24 hour period. In areas where dew or fog accumulates in the early evening, it is best to coat in the morning. Stop coating by early afternoon (3:00 pm) to prevent wash off, which will occur if dew, fog, or rain arrive before coating dries. Do not apply if rain is imminent or forecast within 24 hours of application.
Applying Fibered Aluminum Roof Coating
Repair all cracks, splits, and holes using SealBest All-Weather Roof Cement and Asphalt Coated Reinforcing Fabric, adhering to the directions on their label. Allow repairs to weather at least 30 days before coating. Mix coating thoroughly before and during application. Uniformly coat the entire surface with the coating using a roofing brush or roller. Do not apply to roofs which hold water. Standing water will result in premature failure.

 

Applying Non-Fibered Asphalt Foundation Coating

Do not apply if rain is imminent within 24 hours of application.
Applying Non-Fibered Asphalt Foundation Coating
Do not apply to sloped roof surfaces, as product may run or drip. Clean surface with brush or broom, removing all loose sediment and dirt. Nail down any loose parts. Repair any leaking or weak areas with SealBest Roof Cement and SealBest Reinforcing Fabric repair material. Then coat entire surface area with SealBest Non-Fibered Foundation Coating. Material may be brushed or rolled. Porous surfaces may require two applications. Do not apply on any wet surface. Do not apply if rain is imminent within 24 hours of application. Clean tools with mineral spirits or kerosene in a well ventilated area immediately after use. Exterior Use Only.
